New Logo Design Helps Double Down on Success

In 2012, Open English looked to Sagi Haviv and his team in New York to help us create a strong and memorable logo for the New Open English. We really enjoyed partnering on this project and have enjoyed almost 2 years of success with the new visual identity.

Miami Rising -Start-Up City and Techweek100 Reception Party in Miami

As the season warms up to the upcoming TechWeek in early May, the spotlight seems to be focusing on Miami as a leader in the region and a gateway to Latin American growth. With Start-Up City: Miami, the list Techweek100, and other initiatives like Tech Cocktail and the LAB Miami branching out around town, the local community is embracing this new role. I'm excited to be part of the growth and can't wait to experience the indisputable rise of the city.
Here are some scenes of Techweek100 Miami Party and the Start-Up City panel discussion (courtesy of Kristoffer Tripplaar), where I was invited to speak.

TechWeek Miami

Here are some pictures from the kickoff party for TechWeek Miami. The event was at our home, hosted by Nic and myself, along with Iain Shovlin, a good friend and Chairman of TechWeek.

TechWeek is the main tech event in the country with conferences in LA, NYC, Chicago and -in 2014- Miami. The goal of this intimate gathering was to introduce Miami's tech community to TechWeek.
We had Debi Nova perform live for us in our outdoor terrace. She was amazing! We're all very excited for her career. Next time you see her will be at the Latin Grammy's in 2014.

Our friend Ismael Cala also attended, who reaches 50M homes in the US Hispanic and Latin American markets every night with his prime time show on CNN.

More and more, Miami is becoming a hub for the intersection of technology and entertainment for the Americas.

SIME participation

Open English recently participated at SIME MIA, the two-day global digital conference that brings together some of the world’s most innovative technologists, media executives and venture capitalists.

Around 500 leading global entrepreneurs from Europe, North America and Latin America participated in the event and shared their insights into the latest technological trends. The event positioned Miami, once more, a a rising tech ecosystem, and a gateway to business in Latin America and the US.

Being on stage with Ola Ahlvarsson, SIME's organizer and host was a lot of fun!
